Fake Twitter Followers of Newt Gingrich

Apparently, Newt Gingrich isn’t so popular. According to an anonymous former member of his staff, Newt Gingrich paid for a large number of twitter followers. Essentially, Newt Gingrich isn’t really followed by over a million people. It’s not surprising that somebody finally was accused of artificially inflating their twitter followers.

It is probably true, also. Newt Gingrich has well over 15 times the amount of followers as fellow Republican nominees Mitt Romney and Michelle Bachman. It’s funny because Newt Gingrich has bragged about his twitter following on multiple occasions. On one such time he said, “I have six times as many Twitter followers as all the other candidates combined…”.

Sorry Newt, you really do not have that many followers. It is particularly sad that you have to make yourself seem better by buying fake twitter followers. I suppose that is just another reason why nobody ever really considered you a real candidate for the Republican Nomination.
